The new Otuvy QM v2 mobile app is live and designed to deliver a faster, clearer, and more reliable experience for field teams. This rewrite modernizes the interface while preserving the core workflows your team depends on every day. Below you will find answers to the most common questions about transitioning from the original Otuvy QM app to the new Otuvy QM v2 mobile app.

Important naming note during the transition: While there are two apps, the original app will continue to be named Otuvy QM until we shut off access to that app. The new app is named Otuvy QM v2.

Where can I download the new app?

You can download the Otuvy QM v2 mobile app on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store

Will the new app come with a price increase?

No. The release of the new Otuvy QM v2 mobile app does not include a price increase.

This update is focused on improving performance, usability, and workflow efficiency for your field teams. Your account pricing is not changing as a result of this release.

Will my team need to be retrained to use the new mobile app?

No major retraining should be necessary.

The new Otuvy QM v2 mobile app preserves the core functionality your team relies on while making the experience cleaner and more intuitive. The goal was modernization without disruption.

We are also providing self-service knowledge base articles so your team can quickly understand what is new and continue working with confidence in the Otuvy QM v2 mobile app.

Will the old mobile app still be available, and for how long?

Yes. The original Otuvy QM app remains available for a limited transition period.

This allows your team to transition at a comfortable pace, complete any active inspections, and install the new Otuvy QM v2 mobile app without pressure.

The original Otuvy QM app is expected to remain available for approximately 3 months after launch. After that transition window, the original Otuvy QM app will discontinue connectivity to Otuvy servers and will no longer be functional.

Do I need to download a new app, or will my current app automatically update?

Yes. You need to install the new Otuvy QM v2 mobile app. It is a separate application.

During the transition period, you may see two apps:

  • Otuvy QM (original app, temporarily available until shutoff)
  • Otuvy QM v2 (new app, supported)

Important: The original app will continue to appear as Otuvy QM until access to it is shut off. Its name will not change during the transition period.

The new Otuvy QM v2 mobile app is available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

What if I experience a bug in the original Otuvy QM app after launch?

Support for the original Otuvy QM app is ending.

While knowledge base articles will remain available for self-service reference during the transition period, no new bug reports will be addressed for the original Otuvy QM app. Training, troubleshooting, and technical support will be focused exclusively on the new Otuvy QM v2 mobile app.

We strongly encourage all teams to transition to the new Otuvy QM v2 mobile app as soon as possible to ensure continued support, performance improvements, and long-term reliability.

Will my saved or in progress inspections carry over automatically?

No. Unfinished inspections in the original Otuvy QM app are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to Otuvy servers until completed. Because of this, they cannot transfer automatically to the new Otuvy QM v2 mobile app.

Will my locations and templates automatically download in the new app?

Your access to locations and templates remains unchanged in the new Otuvy QM v2 mobile app.

The difference is how downloads are handled. The new Otuvy QM v2 mobile app uses on-demand downloads to improve performance, reduce unnecessary storage use, and support scalability for growing teams.

You simply download the locations you plan to inspect. Once downloaded, they remain available offline and stay updated through the improved sync process unless you choose to remove them.

Will inspection scoring or reporting change?

No. Inspection scoring and reporting calculations are not changing.

Your scores, dashboards, and web reports in the Otuvy QM Service Provider HQ will remain consistent.

The updates are focused on how you navigate inspections within the new Otuvy QM v2 mobile app, including improved filtering, services grouped by Area for better clarity, and minor visual enhancements to in-app reports.

Will the new app work offline the same way the old app did?

Yes. The new Otuvy QM v2 mobile app works very similarly in offline mode.

Any location or work order data you have downloaded will be available without an internet connection.

Because the new Otuvy QM v2 mobile app no longer downloads data in bulk, users must manually download the specific locations and work orders they plan to access offline.

If you complete inspections while offline, they are safely stored on your device and will automatically upload once your device reconnects to the internet. The Otuvy QM v2 mobile app attempts to sync and upload completed inspections approximately every 2 minutes when a connection is available.

Once downloaded, items remain updated through the improved sync process unless removed from the device.

Will notifications work differently?

Push notifications function the same as they did in the original Otuvy QM app.

The only change is where you manage them. Notification settings have been moved out of the Work Order inbox and into the Settings section.

To access them, tap the hamburger menu in the bottom right, then select Notification Settings.

Why are my work orders not automatically downloading anymore? Is something broken?

Nothing is broken. This is an intentional performance improvement in the new Otuvy QM v2 mobile app.

Your Work Order inbox will still display all assigned work orders automatically. Full message details and attachments download when you open the work order while connected to the internet.

Unopened work orders will not be available in offline mode until they have been opened at least once while online.

This targeted download approach improves speed, reduces device strain, and keeps the Otuvy QM v2 mobile app responsive even for high volume accounts.

Why do I not see all my locations downloaded automatically like before?

Locations are no longer downloaded automatically by design in the new Otuvy QM v2 mobile app.

This change improves performance, especially for companies managing many locations, by reducing unnecessary downloads and conserving device storage.

You can download just the locations you need to focus on. Once downloaded, they remain available offline and stay updated unless you choose to delete them.

Will adding photos, notes, or inspection details change?

The overall process remains familiar in the new Otuvy QM v2 mobile app.

When you save an inspection as unfinished and return to it later, the most recent score and detail you entered will remain visible. This helps you quickly see what was last completed so it does not appear as though the service was left unscored.

To review all details for a service, you will still tap into the Details view. This keeps the inspection interface clean while ensuring you can easily confirm where you left off and continue the inspection.

Will inspections upload faster?

Yes. In the new Otuvy QM v2 mobile app, inspections upload in the background after completion, allowing supervisors to move directly to their next task without waiting.

If completed offline, inspections automatically queue and upload as soon as a connection is restored. This improves reliability, reduces delays between locations, and supports real world field conditions.

Will my reports look different to my customers?

No. Reports and dashboards in the Otuvy QM Service Provider HQ are not affected by the release of the new Otuvy QM v2 mobile app.

Inspection and work order data collected in the new Otuvy QM v2 mobile app continues to sync seamlessly with the rest of the system. Your customers will not see changes to scoring, report structure, or dashboard data.

What should I do to prepare my team before switching?

Preparation is simple.

Ensure team devices are updated, complete any saved inspections in the original Otuvy QM app, and review the new knowledge base resources for the new Otuvy QM v2 mobile app.

The transition was designed to be straightforward so your team can adopt the new Otuvy QM v2 mobile app with minimal disruption and immediate efficiency gains.
