Creating Work Orders in the Otuvy QM v2 Mobile App
Notice: The legacy Otuvy QM app has been removed from the App Store and Google Play Store and is no longer available to download. Otuvy QM v2 will be renamed to Otuvy QM in the near future. If you already have the Otuvy QM v2 mobile app installed, the name change will happen automatically as long as auto-updates are turned on. If auto-updates are off, you can update the app manually through the App Store or Google Play.
Note: This article applies to the Otuvy QM v2 mobile app (the supported app). During the transition period, the legacy app will continue to appear on devices as Otuvy QM until it is removed from the app stores and shut off.
The process for creating a work order in the Otuvy QM v2 mobile app is familiar and streamlined. The workflow remains the same, with updated navigation and naming to make it faster and easier in the field.
How to Access Work Orders
You can access your Work Order Inbox in two ways:
- From the Home screen, tap View Inbox in the Work Orders section
- From the bottom navigation bar, tap the envelope icon

Both options take you to the same Work Order Inbox.
Create a New Work Order
- Open the Work Order Inbox.
- Tap the option to create a new work order. (The Plus at the top of the screen)
- Select the Service Location where the work order should be assigned.
- Choose the appropriate message type if prompted.
- Assign the work order to the appropriate users if applicable.
Enter the work order details, including:
- Description of the issue or request
- Priority level
- Due date (if applicable)
- Add any photos or attachments to provide additional context.
- Tap Submit to create the work order.
Additional Options
- You can add internal notes to provide extra context that is not visible to the client
- You can create internal work orders when needed for internal tracking. These work orders are entirely hidden from the client.
What Happens Next
- The work order is immediately available in the inbox
- Assigned users are notified based on their notification settings
- You can open the work order at any time to view updates, reply, or make changes

- The bottom navigation bar makes it faster to switch between Home, Work Orders, Inspections, and Settings
- Work orders use on demand loading, meaning full details and attachments load when opened while online
- This improves performance and keeps the app responsive, especially for high volume accounts
This update is designed to keep your existing workflow intact while making everyday actions faster and more intuitive.
