Creating Work Orders in the Otuvy QM v2 Mobile App

The process for creating a work order in the Otuvy QM v2 mobile app is familiar and streamlined. The workflow remains the same, with updated navigation and naming to make it faster and easier in the field.

How to Access Work Orders

You can access your Work Order Inbox in two ways:

  • From the Home screen, tap View Inbox in the Work Orders section
  • From the bottom navigation bar, tap the envelope icon

Both options take you to the same Work Order Inbox.

Create a New Work Order

  1. Open the Work Order Inbox.
  2. Tap the option to create a new work order.
  3. Select the Service Location where the work order should be assigned.
  4. Choose the appropriate category or type if prompted.
  5. Enter the work order details, including:
    • Description of the issue or request
    • Priority level
    • Due date (if applicable)
  6. Add any photos or attachments to provide additional context.
  7. Assign the work order to the appropriate user or team.
  8. Tap Submit to create the work order.

Additional Options

  • You can add internal notes to provide extra context that is not visible to the client
  • You can create internal work orders when needed for internal tracking

What Happens Next

  • The work order is immediately available in the inbox
  • Assigned users are notified based on their notification settings
  • You can open the work order at any time to view updates, reply, or make changes

Key Improvements to Be Aware Of

  • The bottom navigation bar makes it faster to switch between Home, Work Orders, Inspections, and Settings
  • Work orders use on demand loading, meaning full details and attachments load when opened while online
  • This improves performance and keeps the app responsive, especially for high volume accounts

This update is designed to keep your existing workflow intact while making everyday actions faster and more intuitive.
